Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a cardiac catheterization lab role requiring current BLS and ACLS certification.
Details
- 225-bed specialty care hospital with Level II trauma designation
- Cardiac Cath Lab within the Heart & Vascular Institute
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Variable shift start times of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM with shifts running through 5:30 PM
- Weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend on-call basis
- On-call staff must report within 30 minutes of being called in
- Uses Cath Lab Suite equipment
- Charts in Merge Hemo and Cerner EMR systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a cardiac cath lab
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- RCIS certification accepted in lieu of other credentials
- Experience with procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, arterial line insertion, coronary angioplasty, CTO, intra-aortic balloon, Impella, intravascular ultrasound, stent placement, thrombolysis, venography, and wave wire preferred
- Experience with hemodynamic calculations, right and left heart catheterization, structural heart procedures, vascular interventional procedures, and EP studies preferred, with training available if needed
- Must be able to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
- License required if applicable
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active AHA certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures for conditions such as STEMI, NSTEMI, and heart disease
- Bi-weekly orientation provided
- Scrubs provided
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate; a local rate applies otherwise
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
