Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant opportunity in a healthcare organization. This position involves assisting in implementing treatment plans, aiding patients with therapeutic exercises, and educating patients and their families. The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and adherence to clinical protocols, providing valuable experience in outpatient therapy settings.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 09/07/2026 to 12/07/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School; CAPTE Certified; 0+ years of outpatient clinical experience; CPR Certification; active license for the state where work will be performed.
- Assists the Physical Therapist in implementing therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, balance and coordination training, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training.
- Trains patients in locomotion aid device use, demonstrates modality applications including whirlpools, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation, and monitors patient responses.
- Maintains equipment safety, documents patient progress, and educates patients and families on proper body mechanics.
- Follows all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and maintains a clean treatment environment.
- Participates in team meetings, contributes to quality improvement projects, and shares recent literature with peers.
- Displays a customer service attitude towards patients, visitors, and staff at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
