Marine Welder - Now Hiring

Job Description:

QED Systems, an experienced marine engineering, planning, and ship modernization firm, is seeking Marine Welders.

Salary: $25-$35 Hourly

Qualified candidates must be:

* experienced in welding and/or brazing applications

*able to join metal components together through the process of welding or brazing in both shop and shipboard environments

*select materials required to accomplish removals / installations / repairs / alterations, and cut / burn / grind surfaces (as directed).

*able to comply with all applicable safety regulations, work under industrial repair conditions, work in confined spaces, and climb vertical/inclined ladders.

• All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements/Skill Sets:

Candidates must successfully demonstrate the skills and ability to certify to QED Weld Procedures for Steel (mandatory) and Aluminum (desired) base metals. The individual must also be able to read, interpret, and follow blue prints or technical drawings and understand associated welding symbols. Must be able to pass an x-ray weld test.

U.S. citizenship required. Must meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
