Quality Assurance Technician

💲 Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Schedule Requirements

Candidates must be available to work any of the following shifts as needed:

• 1st Shift: 5:45 AM - 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 1:45 PM - 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 9:45 PM - 6:00 AM

Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting quality inspections, performing functional testing, documenting inspection results, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure products meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional and visual quality inspections on materials and products.
• Document inspection results, defects, discrepancies, and failure analysis findings in SAP and related systems.
• Use measuring tools and handheld gauges to verify product specifications.
• Communicate quality issues and nonconformances to production teams and supervisors.
• Recommend disposition of questionable or nonconforming products.
• Collect and analyze quality data and assist with metric reporting.
• Conduct root cause investigations for product failures and returned materials.
• Create work instructions and support process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to maintain quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of quality systems and concepts, including ISO 9000.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using inspection tools and handheld measuring devices.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
