Job Description
Western South Dakota Community Action is looking for a dedicated hard-working person to join our Weatherization department as an Energy Auditor. We need a construction professional to conduct energy audits and educate our clients on conserving energy. Join our Weatherization department and assist low-income households in maintaining energy efficient homes!
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Perform diagnostic energy audits of homes in a timely and efficient manner and write up work orders from those diagnostics.
Ensure accuracy and compliance of program files and that they follow program requirements.
Perform inspections and enter data into software
Obtain a working knowledge of the agency’s programs and policies
Attend trainings on programs and updates.
Educate clients on conservation measures within their homes
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years of professional construction experience
BPI Home Performance Auditor Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have insurable and valid driver's license
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check, driving record check, and drug screen.
OTHER JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work in a fast-paced and often high-stress environment, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to workload changes
Ability to deal with inside and outside clientele and vendors in a diplomatic and courteous manner while assuring adherence to the Company’s policies/procedures
Above average oral, reading and writing skills to accurately operate a computer, perform necessary documentation and effectively communicate with staff, clients, and colleagues.
**This job requires frequent walking, climbing, reaching, sitting, pushing, kneeling, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds**
