Job Description

We are seeking experienced Patient Access Representatives / ER Admitting Representatives for a 13-week contract opportunity in Pomona, CA.

This role supports the Emergency Department with patient registration, demographic and insurance information, authorizations, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and collect demographic information
• Collect and enter insurance information into the computer system
• Establish patient records with demographic, financial, and insurance information
• Identify insurance codes
• Obtain patient consents and authorizations
• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service
• Coordinate with department scheduling to meet patient needs
• Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1–2+ years of registration or clerical experience
• Patient registration experience preferred
• Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Must live within 30 miles of the facility
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Rotating weekends are mandatory
• Pretest required before submission

Schedule

• 5x8-hour shifts
• Day shift
• Start times may vary: 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM
• Weekends and holidays required
• Business Casual dress code

No license or certification required.
