Job Description

We are seeking experienced Patient Services Representatives / Pre-Services Scheduling Representatives for a 13-week contract opportunity in Pomona, CA.

This position supports the Pre Services Department with patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and other administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient services
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Perform patient registration and administrative functions
• Enter and maintain accurate patient information
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/HCPCS codes
• Handle phones, fax, scanning, copying, and computer systems
• Use Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Provide professional customer service to patients and staff

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of hospital experience
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or medical office experience
• Registration experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes
• Strong computer and administrative skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• 1+ year of insurance verification experience preferred
• Some college coursework in business communication or data entry preferred
• No license or certification required
• Pre-employment exam required

Dress Code: Business Casual
Hours: 40 hours/week
Some holidays may be required
