Legal Assistant/Medical Records Clerk

Janicek Law Firm is looking to add an Entry Level Legal Assistant/Medical Records Clerk to our growing team.

This is a full-time, in-office position and a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in the legal field. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn. Prior law firm or medical records experience is a plus, but not required - we are happy to train the right person.

Responsibilities:

• Requesting and following up on medical records and billing records
• Organizing, tracking, and maintaining case files and records requests
• Uploading and managing documents in the firm's case management system
• Communicating with medical providers, clients, and staff regarding records and case status
• Providing administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
• Assisting with general case management and office tasks

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
• Prior legal, medical office, or administrative experience is a plus, but not required
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required
