Healthy Youth and Families Home, an Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH) group home for children and youth with intellectual disabilities, is seeking an experienced Facility Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis. The Facility Administrator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with patient care and regulatory requirements.


Main Duties:

  • Develop an administrative plan and procedures to define lines of responsibility, equitable workloads, and staff supervision. The administrator will supervise all direct care staff.
  • Supervise the direct care staff while they are on duty until the staff member has completed orientation and required initial training. By keeping a daily log, the administrator and staff will have a written record of ongoing problems and training results.
  • Meet with the Facility Licensee and staff to discuss any problems and/or solutions.
  • Recruit, employ, and train or provide training for qualified staff, and terminate staff who perform in an unsatisfactory manner.
  • Provide or ensure the provision of services to the individuals required by the applicable laws and regulations, including those services identified in the individual’s pre-admission appraisal and Individual Program Plan (IPP).
  • Arrange for special provisions for the care, supervision, safety, and guidance of individuals with disabilities including visual or auditory deficiencies.
  • Arrange for the individuals to attend available community programs when individuals have needs identified in the IPP, including but not limited to, arranging or providing transportation.
  • Provide equipment and supplies for recreation activities in the facility and will provide transportation and planning for recreational activities in the community.
  • Create, edit, and organize documents, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Enter and update data in databases or spreadsheets and maintain accurate records.
  • Keep the office area organized, including ordering supplies and managing inventory.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute meeting materials.
  • Arrange meeting rooms and necessary equipment.


Qualifications/Eligibility:

  • A minimum of two years of prior experience providing direct care of supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities and be one of the following: Registered Behavior Technician, Licensed Psychiatric Technician, Qualified Behavior Modification Professional.
  • Completion of the Residential Service Orientation.
  • Must have an active Group Home Certificate and maintain recertification as required.
  • Must be able to pass a DOJ background check and obtain fingerprint clearance.
  • Be certified in hands-on CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain upon hire and annually thereafter.
  • Must have a CA driver’s license that is current, clean of any major violations and without restrictions.
  • Must have completed Direct Support Professional I Certification and Direct Support Professional II.
  • Must also complete the required regional center orientation and a minimum of twelve hours of continuing education in the areas specified by Title 17.
  • Must have 1 hour of instruction in cultural competency and sensitivity in issues related to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community every year.
  • Complete training by the regional center and other certified training entities.
  • Exemplify the physical energy and competence to provide care and supervision of residents and, where applicable, to work effectively with social agencies.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Required).

Work Experience:

  • 2 years of progressive experience in program management and supervision within a residential care, behavioral health, or similar setting, preferably with ESBH experience (Required).

License/Certification:

  • Valid Administrator Certificate relevant to Adult Residential Facilities (ARF) or ESBH operations (Eligible/Required).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, or a higher clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, PhD) (Required).


Schedule:

  • Expected to work a schedule that will average 40 hours per week.
  • A minimum 30 hours on-site at the facility.
  • Flexibility in hours is required based on program needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and on-call availability for urgent matters.
  • Primarily Monday to Friday, with adjustments as needed.
