Perfect Placement Home Care LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our growing team in Cleveland, OH. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support in a home-based setting. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Support clients in community integration, social activities, and recreational outings
- Administer medications and document care accurately in compliance with care plans
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and behavioral support strategies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding client progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and client-centered approach
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
