Emergency Room RN

An Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) plays a critical role in delivering urgent medical care within a fast-paced emergency department. This role involves assessing and triaging patients, administering emergency treatments, and collaborating closely with a medium-sized nursing team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The ER RN operates under the supervision of the ER Nurse Manager and utilizes specialized emergency room software alongside standard hospital electronic health records (EHR) to document care and manage patient information efficiently. This position requires strong crisis management skills and a commitment to infection control in a dynamic healthcare environment with no travel obligations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid and accurate patient assessments and triage
• Provide emergency care and medication administration
• Perform wound care and monitor vital signs continuously
• Document patient information using ER-specific software and hospital EHR systems
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Manage crisis situations effectively
• Maintain strict infection control protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in emergency room unit- doesn't include floating
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• CA License - Active
• Certs - BLS, ACLS, PALS
