Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist position available in a healthcare facility located in Springfield. This role involves performing diagnostic and invasive procedures within the Interventional Radiology department, supporting the care team during procedures, operating specialized imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position is suitable for candidates with relevant experience and established certifications seeking a temporary assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 5x8 shifts, 07:30 AM 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification; minimum of two years experience in Interventional Radiology; valid licensure in ARRT (R)
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced registry certifications such as VI (Vascular Intervention), CV (Cardiovascular), or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- Float: Float rotation may be required as mandated by the facility
- Additional Information: The IR Technologist will be responsible for supporting diagnostic and invasive procedures, operating imaging and patient care equipment, administering contrast materials, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout various procedures. Proficiency in operating Siemens imaging equipment, knowledge of radiation safety practices, and experience with contrast media are essential. The role involves working with oncology, dialysis, neurology, and pulmonary embolism patient populations in a high-acuity environment.
