IR Tech – Interventional Radiology
Location: Mercy Hospital Springfield – Springfield, MO
Shift: Days | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- ARRT (R) certification required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Advanced certification such as CI, VI, CV, or RCIS preferred
- Experience with EPIC/Radiant preferred
- Must be able to float as required by the facility
Job Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and the care team with diagnostic and invasive IR procedures.
- Provide scrub assistance and record procedure images.
- Operate special procedure imaging equipment while following radiation safety practices.
- Administer contrast materials and review medication reconciliation for contraindications.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Operate essential patient care equipment, including oxygen, suction, and blood pressure monitoring equipment.
- Use appropriate patient transfer and immobilization devices.
Unit Details
- 4 Interventional Radiology Suites
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Equipment: Siemens
- EMR: EPIC Radiant
- Patient population includes Oncology, Dialysis, Neurology, and PE patients
Call Requirements
- 1–2 weekends per month
- 4–6 weekdays per month
Additional Information Green surgical scrubs are provided by the facility and must remain onsite. Flu vaccination or an approved Mercy exemption is required for travelers from November 1 through April 1.
