Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with ARRT (R) certification and 2+ years of relevant IR experience for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit with four IR suites
  • Patient population includes oncology, dialysis, neurology, and pulmonary embolism cases
  • 1:1 patient ratio during procedures
  • Uses Siemens equipment and EPIC Radiant EMR
  • Days shift, 5x8, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Call coverage required for one to two weekends per month plus four to six weekdays per month
  • Floats as required by facility policy

Requirements

  • ARRT (R) certification required, license required if applicable
  • BLS certification from AHA required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant Interventional Radiology experience required
  • Advanced registry certification (CI, VI, or RCIS) preferred

Additional Information

  • Performs diagnostic and invasive procedures across various anatomy and pathology
  • Provides scrub assistance during procedures, records images, and operates oxygen, suction, blood pressure, and other essential patient care equipment
  • Operates special procedures imaging equipment to produce optimal quality exams in accordance with radiation safety practices
  • Administers contrast materials and reviews medication reconciliation forms for potential contraindications prior to administration
  • Observes patients before, during, and after procedures and utilizes appropriate immobilization and patient transfer devices
  • Facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
  • Green surgical scrubs are provided daily and must remain on-site
  • Torn clothing and open-toed shoes are not permitted
  • Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted
  • Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
  • Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius, subject to facility rules on consecutive local contracts
