Job Summary:
Radiology Technologist (X-ray Technologist) position available in a healthcare setting, located in the region. This role involves performing diagnostic radiologic procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized imaging techniques, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to safety standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- Licensure as a Radiology Technologist in the applicable state (e.g., Montana Licensure)
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R.T.(R)))
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- One (1) year of radiology experience, including clinical internship work preferred
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy/C-Arm in operating rooms, trauma, and portable radiography, including specialized services for NICU, coronary care unit, and emergency departments
- Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
- Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
- Performs essential functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
- Learns appropriate computer applications and office equipment utilized in the healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting deadlines
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and respond to on-call needs
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, supporting patients, and carrying equipment
Additional Information:
- Performs radiographic exams, fluoroscopic procedures, US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis
- Assists with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements and c-arm fluoroscopy exams in surgical settings
- Responsible for documentation, archiving, and billing of exams and procedures
- Retrieves and manages health information and written orders
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and patient education initiatives
