Medical Device Assembler

Location: Irvine, CA — Onsite
Shift: 2nd Shift

W2 Contract | Full-Time | 6 Months


Role Overview

BEPC is seeking detail-oriented Medical Device Assemblers to support our client’s medical device manufacturing operations in Irvine, CA. This position is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices in a regulated cleanroom/manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to perform precise assembly work involving small components. Experience with medical device assembly, microscope assembly, hand soldering, or cleanroom manufacturing is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical devices and components, including catheters and related medical device assemblies.
  • Complete routine production assignments according to established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Handle and maneuver small components and parts while working under a microscope for extended periods.
  • Use hand tools and production equipment to complete detailed assembly operations.
  • Perform repetitive manual tasks such as gripping, pinching, pulling, twisting, and positioning small components.
  • Maintain accurate written and electronic production documentation to support traceability and FDA-regulated quality requirements.
  • Read, understand, and follow written procedures, work instructions, and verbal directions.
  • Follow all safety, quality, cleanroom, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Clearly communicate production issues, ideas, and potential solutions.
  • Maintain a professional and positive approach when working with internal and external customers.


Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous manual assembly experience, preferably within medical device manufacturing.
  • Experience assembling components using a microscope for extended periods.
  • Experience with hand soldering.
  • Previous experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining written and electronic manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and consistently follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to safely handle very small components and perform precision assembly work.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements required for assembly work.

  • Shift: 2nd Shift
  • Hiring Event: Thursday, August 20, from 2:30 PM–5:00 PM

Cleanroom Dress & Gowning Requirements:


Candidates must be able to comply with strict cleanroom and production-area requirements. Clothing must be clean, non-shedding, and free from loose fibers, frayed material, glitter, sequins, tassels, or similar items. Loose-knit garments, fleece, and other garments that may shed fibers are not permitted.

Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required, along with socks or stockings. Production-area requirements also restrict items such as nail polish/artificial nails, uncovered jewelry or piercings that could compromise gloves or gowning, makeup, and scented personal products other than deodorant. Clothing must provide appropriate coverage and fit safely beneath required cleanroom garments.
