*Description*
The primary objective of this role is to serve as the central point of coordination for all contractors and vendors on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and schedule-driven execution of the Wheeler, TX data center project.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Coordinate activities across general contractors, subcontractors, commissioning teams, utility providers, and specialty vendors.
Manage daily and weekly construction planning meetings.
Sequence work to prevent trade stacking and overlapping activities.
Ensure site logistics plans are maintained and followed.
Resolve conflicts between vendors before they impact schedule or safety.
Safety Oversight
Identify situations where multiple trades are working in the same area and creating safety risks.
Enforce site safety protocols and escalation procedures.
Partner with EHS teams to ensure compliance with OSHA and HPC company standards.
Stop or redirect work when unsafe conditions exist.
Hold contractors accountable for corrective actions.
Schedule & Execution Management
Monitor construction progress against the master schedule.
Identify schedule conflicts and recovery plans.
Track critical path activities.
Coordinate site access, equipment deliveries, crane operations, and major installations.
Ensure work packages are completed in the correct sequence.
Contractor Accountability
Drive ownership among general contractors and subcontractors.
Document and communicate performance issues.
Lead issue resolution and action-item tracking.
Ensure contractors meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
Escalate contractor performance concerns to NVIDIA leadership when necessary.
Stakeholder Communication
Provide daily status updates to NVIDIA leadership.
Communicate risks, mitigation plans, and schedule impacts.
Maintain clear records of decisions, actions, and field issues.
Ideal Background
Experience
10+ years in mission-critical construction, hyperscale data centers, semiconductor facilities, advanced manufacturing, or large industrial projects.
Experience managing greenfield construction projects valued at billions of dollars.
Strong field-based construction management experience.
