Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed or certified School Social Worker, with demonstrated experience in educational settings.
• Expertise in developing and leading Individualized Educational Planning Team (IEPT) meetings.
• Proficient in assessing and updating strategies based on student progress and evolving needs.
• Trained in Crisis Intervention and Prevention, with proven ability to de-escalate challenging behaviors—both emotional and physical.
• Familiarity with billing for services through the county Medicaid system.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Guide and participate in IEPT meetings to create, monitor, and revise individualized strategies for student success.
• Administer crisis intervention techniques to ensure student safety and well-being, using preventive actions when necessary.
• Consistently review student cases and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to evaluate and refine intervention strategies.
• Accurately document services and manage Medicaid billing in accordance with county guidelines.
• Provide ongoing support, counseling, and advocacy for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges in a high-needs setting.
