Maintenance Tech

Overview:

• Troubleshoot input/output devices using PLC systems. Inspect, repair, upgrade, and install electrical circuits, components, and control equipment up to component-level standards.
• Diagnose, dismantle, repair, and reassemble complex mechanical machinery. Install, modify, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and control instruments.
• Safely operate shop equipment (lathes, drill presses, grinders, band saws, cutting torches, and welders) alongside manual and pneumatic tools to modify or repair parts.
• Proactively complete PM work orders, record operational logs, and update technical documents/drawings to boost machine reliability and minimize downtime.
• Operate plant cooling water and wastewater systems in strict compliance with EPA regulations.
• Research required equipment, sourcing parts as needed, and help maintain accurate departmental spare-parts inventory.
• Safely operate forklifts and elevated hydraulic work platforms.
• Frequently lift and move up to 55 lbs; occasionally maneuver loads up to 250 lbs. Work off-ground elevated tasks occasionally exceeding 30 feet.
• Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, dust, fumes, vibration, airborne particles, non-hazardous chemical agents, and risk of electric shock. Exposure to varying noise levels and moving mechanical parts.
