Job Summary
Our client is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive patient care, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Rooming: Welcome patients, escort them to exam rooms, and efficiently document vital signs, medical histories, allergies, and current medications.
- Clinical Assistance: Support physicians during exams, treatments, and procedures; manage patient consents and educational materials.
- Phlebotomy & Injections: Safely administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections and perform blood draws in strict accordance with OSHA and safety guidelines.
- Clinic Operations: Prepare, stock, and disinfect exam rooms; manage medical supply inventory and process clinical equipment.
- Care Coordination: Manage patient scheduling for follow-ups, tests, procedures, and hospital admissions.
- Communication & Records: Triaged patient phone calls, coordinate prescription refills, and retrieve external medical records, scans, and test results.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Diploma
- BLS Certification
Experience
- Experience in oncology is preferred.
