Job Description

Your main focus will be conducting Individualized Educational Planning Team (IEPT) meetings, using your expertise to guide ongoing discussions and adjust strategies that help students succeed. Your proficiency in Crisis Intervention and Prevention allows you to handle challenging situations with skill, compassion, and professionalism—de-escalating aggressive behaviors effectively and creating a positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed social worker with experience in school-based services
- Demonstrated skill leading IEPT meetings and shaping action plans for student success
- Completion of Crisis Intervention and Prevention training, with a proven ability to apply de-escalation techniques
- Confident working within high-needs or diverse student populations
- Familiarity with billing for services through county Medicaid systems
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate IEPT meetings and participate in continuous strategy review for student needs
- Implement crisis intervention techniques as needed to ensure student and staff safety
- Deliver comprehensive social work services to students and families
- Document and bill applicable services through the county Medicaid process
- Collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to promote student well-being and engagement
