Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role calls for an experienced pharmacist licensed in Arizona or New Jersey, depending on the work location, with 3–5 years of pharmacy experience. Ideal candidates will have a background in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy settings and be ready to confidently assume the responsibilities of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). A strong understanding of state and federal regulations applicable to a 503A facility is essential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in AZ or NJ (required); additional licenses in CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO highly preferred
- 3–5 years of pharmacy experience
- Experience in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy preferred
- Comfortable operating in a PIC capacity with regulatory oversight
- Strong knowledge of 503A facility regulations, USP <795>/<800>, SOP, and FDA compliance
- Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is advantageous
- Experience with PioneerRx is a plus; training available
- Local candidates preferred (Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ); relocation not discussed
Location: Phoenix, AZ (with emphasis on local candidates near Gilbert, AZ)
Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide patient counseling
- Supervise pharmacy staff ensuring adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards
- Maintain compliance with USP <795>/<800>, FDA 503A, and state/federal regulations
- Manage inventory control, including controlled substances and recordkeeping
- Address patient inquiries and uphold high customer service standards
- Ensure all regulatory documentation is properly managed and up to date
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage as the pharmacy expands
