I am seeking qualified candidate in the Logan area to join our warehouse department as a Material Handler. The Material Handler prepares and kits materials for production departments and safely executes all warehouse processes in alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instruction Documents (WIDs), and work orders. This role focuses on accurate material handling, equipment operation, and packaging while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and inventory control in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and kit materials for production departments according to SOPs, WIDs, and work orders.
- Receive, pick, and fill orders in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Place incoming and outgoing materials, finished goods, raw materials, and supplies in appropriate staging, shipping, receiving, or storage locations while adhering to company procedures.
- Operate warehouse tools and equipment including computers, handheld RF scanners, tape guns, calculators, measuring tools, pallet jacks, forklifts, and swing equipment as required.
- Follow all safety requirements and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) at all times.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels in all designated warehouses and storage locations.
- Keep work areas safe, clean, and well organized to support efficient operations.
- Use strong attention to detail to ensure products meet quality standards, collaborating with upstream and downstream departments to perform mutual inspections and correct quality issues.
- Record and report problems, quality errors, and discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and account for all material movement documentation and promptly update the inventory management system.
- Actively participate in Practical Process Improvements (PPI), Lean initiatives, Continuous Improvement activities, and 5S efforts.
- Work effectively as part of a warehouse team, supporting colleagues and assisting with training and mentoring co-workers.
- Complete required training proactively and on time to support personal development and role effectiveness.
- Adhere to assigned schedules to ensure production and shipping goals are consistently met.
- Support general production, shipping and receiving, packing, labeling, loading, unloading, and order picking activities as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience in general production, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in packing, packaging, labeling, and order picking.
- Hands-on experience with inventory control and warehouse inventory processes.
- Ability to use RF scanners for inventory and order management.
- Skill in operating pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts (certification will be provided if no prior forklift experience).
- Capability to perform loading and unloading tasks safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain product quality and accurate documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and regularly handle loads of 25+ lbs.
- Comfort working at heights when required by warehouse operations.
- Ability to work in and out of a cleanroom environment while following applicable protocols.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Commitment to following safety requirements and cGMP standards.
- Basic computer skills for using inventory management systems and related tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with SOPs, WIDs, and structured work orders in a regulated environment.
- Experience using handheld scanners, tape guns, calculators, and measuring tools in warehouse settings.
- Experience in material handling across staging, shipping, receiving, and storage locations.
- Understanding of Lean principles, Practical Process Improvements (PPI), Continuous Improvement, and 5S methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including upstream and downstream departments.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Strong communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with team members.
- Reliability in maintaining schedules to support production and shipping timelines.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment that may include work in and out of a cleanroom setting. Team members work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at a warehouse location. The position involves regular lifting of 25+ lbs and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, as well as working at heights when required. Employees use various warehouse technologies and equipment, including computers, handheld RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling tools. The environment follows strict safety and cGMP standards, and steel-toed boots are required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the warehouse floor.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
