About the Role
As a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will be responsible for providing speech-language pathology services to our residents and patients, including assessment, treatment, and consultation. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers. Your expertise and passion for speech-language pathology will make a tangible impact on our residents' quality of life.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, including speech, language, and cognitive impairments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient-centered goals
Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care and treatment
Participate in staff meetings and educational in-services to stay current with best practices and industry developments

Requirements
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
Wisconsin licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
