About the Role:
The Downtown Club of Santa Barbara is looking for an energetic and passionate Teen Center Facilitator to inspire and engage the next generation in our community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local youth in one of California's most vibrant cities. Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging programs, activities, and events tailored to teen interests and development
• Supervise and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment within the teen center
• Build positive, trusting relationships with youth members and serve as a mentor and role model
• Plan and coordinate recreational, educational, and social enrichment activities
• Monitor teen behavior and enforce center guidelines and policies
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings
• Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes for reporting purposes

Requirements:

• Experience working with youth development, recreation, or educational setting
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead structured and unstructured youth activities
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for youth empowerment
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Afterschool hours, approximately 3:00pm-6:00pm
• Ability to pass a background check as required for working with minors
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education, social work, or recreation a plus
