TITLE: Family Respite Provider
LOCATION: Wausau, WI
We are looking for a flexible and compassionate Family Respite Provider in the Wausau, WI area who can provide support to one family. Depending on the family’s needs, providers may work on a 1v1 setting with an individual child or provide care for multiple siblings at the same time.
WAGE:
- Determined by the child(ren) receiving services and may vary based on the number of family members’ supported during scheduled respite shifts.
- Range: $10.60 per hour - $17.66 per hour
SCHEDULE:
- Respite care is to be scheduled between provider and family.
- Mainly looking for assistance on weekends. Flexible start/end time.
TASKS:
- Respite care is to be conducted either in the family’s home -or out in the community. Community outings are encouraged!
- Provide safety and companionship during care.
- Ability to provide support during transitions and de-escalate heightened behaviors.
- Hang out and have fun! These kiddos enjoy going to the YMCA for open swim, using their State Park passes for nature walks, going to the library, going out to the movies, walking around catching Pokémon, keeping up with new trends, and so much more..!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable Transportation
- Must pass a background check
- Preferring an individual who can plan and remain reliable – giving the kiddos something to look forward to.
