Team Leader - Now Hiring

The Team Leader is responsible for directing other crew members (in addition to their regular duties) to run the store efficiently by being able to divide up duties and enforce them. Under this role, you will be responsible for knowing how to prep all beverages, stocking merchandise for the next business day, and operating all machines that the store uses. Our Team Leader is to lead the crew in providing friendly, fast, accommodating service to our customers. 

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers that come into the establishment or call for orders following Paris Baguette’s high standard of excellence
• Check quality of all the products for displays and organize rotation of displays for all pastries and desserts
• Delegate the duties between crew members on the floor and assign the duties to be carried out
• Check on the crew to make sure said duties are completed
• Enter the customer’s order in the POS and know how to use the POS system in place
• Work and thrive in a team-work environment
• Adhere to food safety guidelines
• Make beverages on the basis and demand during operating business hours and prepare coffee
• Always keep all areas of the store clean while operating during business hours
• Refill and organize all pasties and beverages on display
• Help unload deliveries and organize stock
• Handle catering orders
• Have knowledge of and lead tasks for opening and closing shifts: Cleaning all tabletops, turning on all lights, TVs, radios and drink displays (e.g. cleaning machines, restocking materials, etc.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE 

• 1-2 years of food handling/store experience at a café environment preferred.
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED or Some College.
• Positive and passionate attitude with a high sense of integrity and ownership.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Time management, ability to prioritize and follow direction.
• Proficient on Point-of-Sale systems, currently Toast. Understand the importance of cash handling and accuracy of transactions.  
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to work with diverse teams by being highly empathetic, intuitive, self-motivated and driven. 

Required qualifications:

• Dress code requirements: Fingernails are trimmed and maintained
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Food Service license/certification: ANSI-CFP Certification
• Speaks English
• Reads English
• Available to work: holidays
• Available to work: weekends

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in the food & restaurant industry
• 21+ years or older
• Restaurant front of house skills: serving in fast casual
• Restaurant front of house skills: catering service
• Restaurant front of house skills: point of sale (POS) operation
• Retail skills: customer service
• Retail skills: addressing customer complaints
• Retail skills: taking inventory
• Retail skills: restocking
• Math skills: counting cash drawer
