Respite Provider - Now Hiring

Respite Provider Needed – Eau Claire, WI

We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Respite Provider to work with a young boy in the Eau Claire, WI area. The ideal candidate would be someone who has the ability to manage anger outbursts and promote self-regulation and coping skills. Care would take place in your home or the community.

WAGE:

• $14.13/hourly
• Mileage Reimbursement (while kiddo is in the vehicle)

SCHEDULE:

• Respite care is to be scheduled between provider & family.
• Authorized 6 hrs. per week; seeking weekday evenings -or weekends.
• Opportunity For Additional Hours: Providers have the opportunity to work with siblings in separate 1v1 sessions throughout the week, allowing for additional hours with the same family.

TASKS:

• Respite care is to be conducted either in the provider’s (your) home -or the community. Community outings are encouraged.
• Provide 1v1 supervision and companionship.
• Provide support during transitions and new routines.
• Deescalate heightened behaviors
• Hang out and have fun! This kiddo enjoys riding bikes, puzzles, board games, math sheets, fishing and so much more..!

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check
• Previous experience in caregiving, childcare, or respite is preferred but not required
