We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. Position Overview:The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for a union manufacturing workforce. This role ensures compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable regulations while maintaining payroll records, deductions, timekeeping, and employee pay information. The position works closely with HR, Finance, Operations, and union representatives to resolve payroll issues and support employees. This position reports to the CFO.Responsibilities:Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll for two union-represented and two non-union employee groups.Review timekeeping, overtime, shift premiums, and other payroll adjustments.Apply wage rates, deductions, and other requirements outlined in collective bargaining agreementsUpdate point and credits for hourly personnel in accordance with union contracts or internal policyEnsure payroll files are preserved according to legal requirementsProcess payroll-related benefits, union dues, garnishments, and other deductionsResearch and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questionsCoordinate with HR, Finance, Operations, and union representatives as neededPrepare payroll reports and assist with audits and reconciliationsMaintain confidentiality of employee and payroll informationStay current on payroll procedures, company policies, and applicable requirementsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Associate's degree preferred3 or more years of payroll experience required, union payroll experience preferredExperience with attendance system preferredPrior experience with ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of payroll and tax lawsMath aptitude for calculating points/credits as part of absenteeism policyEffective problem-solving skillsPositive and professional attitudeExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
