Position Description: The Sunburn Edibles Technician is responsible for support during production of cannabis-infused products. The Edibles Technician will collaborate with the team to ensure products are completed on schedule and maintain high-quality standards. All products are manufactured and packaged in accordance with the State of Florida & strict guidelines set in place by Sunburn Cannabis. Responsibilities•\tCollaborate with team to complete all tasks required for production or packaging of cannabis-infused products •\tAdhere to strict food and cannabis safety guidelines•\tPrecisely measure ingredients following provided formulas •\tDemonstrate safe cooking procedures and ability to follow directions precisely •\tOperate induction burners, high shear mixers, candy cookers and semi-automated equipment with proper safety•\tAccurately record batch data using Good Documentation Practices •\tEnsure target inventory levels are maintained and rotated as needed •\tUphold premium quality standards through cGMP•\tAdhere to company SOP’s to ensure consistency during production and packaging •\tMaintain a clean and safe workspace by following strict sanitation procedures in all areas including; working areas, food contact surfaces, dishes, utensils, walls and floors•\tIdentify and escalate issues or discrepancies to Supervisor in a timely mannerPreferred Experience & Requirements •\tExperience in relevant field; manufacturing, confectionary, beverage, etc. •\tBasic understanding of recipes and formulas •\tBasic understanding of HACCP, GMP, SOP, WI & PPE•\tAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid growth •\tFlexible to change •\tServSafe Certified•\tMust be able to lift at least 50lbs•\tMust be able to stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, kneel or squat Competencies1. Initiative.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet working conditions and cold temperatures associated with processing areas, and vibration from manufacturing equipment. This position requires working in moderately cold environments for extended periods. This noise in the production environment can be moderate to loud. Employees are expected to maintain a strict adherence to all safety, sanitation, and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements while performing their duties.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work is usually expected on as needed basis.Travel No travel is expected for this position.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required with some technical training.Previous manufacturing experience with 2 years minimum experience in a commercially licensed cannabis production/extraction facility, food manufacturing and/or packaging, pharmaceutical or other cGMP manufacturing and/or packaging, chemical processing and/or laboratory environment.Must be at least 21 years old.Additional Eligibility QualificationsAbility to perform general mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Attention to detail in all aspects of job responsibilities, including but not limited to good documentation practices, strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedure and Manufacturing Batch Record instructions, equipment and area hygiene and safety, cGMP gowning requirements adherence, release versus quarantine status of all manufacturing materials, general labeling requirements.Accurately and precisely operate laboratory scales and other simple but precision measurement devices.The ability to professionally represent Sunburn in all personnel interactions including those associated with regulatory agency inspection and/or audits.The ability to perform all job functions in direct compliance with written instruction.The ability to quickly comprehend the set-up, operation, controls and trouble-shooting of equipment.Regular and on-time attendance is mandated and is an essential function of this position.Work Authorization/Security ClearanceThere is no visa or H1-B sponsorship.
