We're a locally owned, independent community pharmacy focused on personalized patient care — the kind of relationships and service that big chains can't match. Our team fills prescriptions accurately and quickly, but more importantly, we know our patients by name. We're looking for a dependable, patient-focused pharmacist to grow with us.

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, direct patient counseling, and the day-to-day clinical and operational flow of the pharmacy. You'll work closely with the owner and technician team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your clinical judgment and customer service directly shape the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and in compliance with federal and NJ state law
  • Counsel patients on medications, side effects, interactions, and adherence
  • Administer immunizations (flu, COVID-19, shingles, etc.)
  • Perform final verification and oversee the workflow of pharmacy technicians
  • Resolve third-party insurance and adjudication issues; manage prior authorizations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and controlled-substance documentation
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and returns; minimize waste and out-of-stocks
  • Deliver clinical services such as MTM, point-of-care testing, and med sync where applicable
  • Build and maintain relationships with local prescribers and patients
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations
Qualifications (Required)

  • Active, unrestricted New Jersey pharmacist license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
  • Current immunization certification (APhA or equivalent)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical decision-making
  • Excellent communication and patient-service skills
Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Prior independent or retail community pharmacy experience
  • Familiarity with [pharmacy software Micromerchant]
  • Experience with compounding, MTM, or point-of-care testing
  • Bilingual [language] a plus
  • Comfort with a smaller, hands-on team environment
