About this job
Job Description
Love the hunt for the perfect product — and the art of putting it all together?
If you get as much satisfaction from a perfectly stocked shelf as you do from spotting the next great vendor find, we'd love to meet you. This role blends the analytical (keeping our bestsellers in stock, reading the numbers) with the creative (building displays that tell a story) — perfect for someone who sees the whole picture, not just the individual item.
If You Are...
- A true kitchen and housewares person — you have a genuine passion and eye for cookware, entertaining, and home goods, and it shows in how you shop and talk about product (strongly desired but not required)
- Detail-oriented and organized — you notice when something's low on the shelf before anyone else does
- Comfortable in spreadsheets and reports — you can look at sell-through numbers and know what they're telling you
- A natural at spotting patterns and connections — you don't just see a cutting board, you see the cutting board, the olive wood utensils, and the linen napkin that all belong together
- Creative with an eye for merchandising — you love arranging product so it looks irresistible and tells a story
- Systems-minded and always looking for a better way — you're excited (not intimidated) by using AI and other tools to work smarter and save time
- Quick to pick up new software and technology — comfortable learning new systems and not afraid to dig in
- Reliable and hands-on — willing to pitch in as needed including working the sales floor during holiday periods
- A team player — happy to collaborate with sales associates and management rather than work in a silo
And Would Love To...
- Monitor inventory levels and keep our regular, everyday items consistently stocked
- Help identify and bring in new products that fit the Kitchen Collage story and complement what we already carry
- Think in terms of "collections" — pairing and grouping products so displays and assortments feel complete, not random
- Work alongside the team to plan and build merchandising displays throughout the store
- Pull sell-through and inventory reports and turn them into clear, actionable next steps
- Assist with occasional receiving — checking in shipments and getting product ready for the floor
- Build and refine systems (including AI tools) that make buying and merchandising more efficient over time
We Offer...
- A creative, collaborative environment where your eye for product and your ideas genuinely shape the store
- The chance to work closely with ownership on buying decisions and vendor relationships
- Structured, professional training that builds transferable career skills
- Generous PTO: 22 days annual, full carryover allowed up to 33 days
- Up to $300/month toward health insurance
- Simple IRA with 3% match after eligibility period
- Substantial employee discount and vendor sales incentives
- Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) with stability and variety
- Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
- We welcome candidates relocating to the Vail Valley - we understand a move to the mountains is a big decision and we're here to support the transition
About Kitchen Collage
