Medical Assistant experienced

The experienced Medical Assistant supports a clinical team of more than 10 members by providing comprehensive patient preparation, clinical assistance, and administrative support. Reporting directly to both the Physician and Office Manager, this detail-oriented and empathetic professional ensures smooth workflow and accurate maintenance of electronic health records (EHR). This role offers opportunities for advancement within a collaborative healthcare setting and requires no travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Document patient medical histories and symptoms
• Collect specimens such as blood and urine
• Provide clinical assistance, including injection administration and venipuncture
• Manage electronic health records efficiently
• Conduct EKG, PFT, and x-ray procedures as needed
• Support patient communication and office administration
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical assisting
• Phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
• Proficiency in EHR management
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care
• Skill in vital signs monitoring and injection administration
• Experience with EKG and x-ray procedures
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance

We are primarily a family practice office, but we are also multi-specialty. We have a variety of specialists at our location weekly to accommodate our patients and also provide better continuity of care. We perform xrays on site and also offer echocardiograms, ultrasounds and dopplers appointments on a weekly basis.
