Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Technician Intra CL (Interventional Radiology) This position involves performing angiography procedures within the healthcare provider organization. The role includes preparing and assisting with various vascular and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with procedural protocols in a clinical setting.
Job Details:
- Certifications: ARRT (R) required, BLS (AHA) required. Vascular/Interventional Radiography Certification and relevant State Licensure preferred.
- Education: Not applicable.
- Years of Experience: 0.0 (minimum required).
- Location Requirements: Not specified.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with on-call responsibilities including 1 weekday shift/week and 1 weekend/month.
- Responsibilities include:
- Completing angiography and interventional procedures
- Maintaining equipment and supplies
- Assisting with SIRT mapping/treatments, embolizations, neph tube placements, biliary tube placements, CT-guided procedures, and neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic procedures
- Ensuring patient identification, safety, and comfort during procedures
- Documenting patient information and procedures accurately
- Supporting team in emergent patient situations and maintaining sterile techniques
- Certifications and skills require knowledge of anatomy, radiography, operating imaging equipment, and emergency life support.
- Preferred qualifications include one to two years of angiographic or interventional experience and relevant vascular/interventional radiography certification.
