Physical Therapist (PT) Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will evaluate and treat patients with various physical impairments, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and support their rehabilitation journey.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide one-on-one treatment sessions, focusing on restoring mobility, strength, and balance.
• Educate patients on exercise, injury prevention, and managing chronic conditions.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to address musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular concerns.
• Manage patient care across the rehabilitation continuum, including pre- and post-operative treatment.

Typical Patient Load

Therapists typically manage a patient load that includes:

• 2 to 3 evaluations per day
• 11 treatment sessions (30 minutes each) per day

Patient Population

The primary patient demographic is adults. Experience with all age groups is welcome.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current physical therapy experience in an outpatient setting.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics is mandatory.
• Active New Hampshire or Compact Physical Therapy license.
• Proficiency in EPIC and Expro software.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment.

Work Schedule

This position guarantees 40 hours per week with day shifts. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required as necessary. All time-off requests must be submitted with the application and are limited to no more than five days.

Dress Code

The dress code allows for personal scrubs of any color or business casual attire (athleisure/stretchy clothing is acceptable, but leggings or crop tops are not). Open-toe and open-back shoes are not permitted.
