Job Summary
The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is based in the Interventional Radiology specialty within a healthcare facility. This role involves performing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician supervision, including angiography, embolizations, coilings, and clot retrievals. The position emphasizes supporting neurointerventional procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining quality assurance.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift with hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, on call every other weekend. Four 10-hour shifts per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in radiologic technology; New York State license as Radiologic Technologist; ARRT(R) certification; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); experience with neurointerventional procedures.
- Additional Information: Provides technical support for all interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures, including discograms, aspirations, therapeutic injections, angiography, and ablations. Operates advanced imaging equipment and adheres to safety standards, including radiation safety practices. Instructs students and residents, performs equipment quality assurance, and manages supply inventories. Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures compliance with hospital policies. Learns new techniques through educational activities and supports accurate billing procedures.
