Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) located at a healthcare facility, this role involves providing inpatient physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients. The position supports diverse patient populations including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary cases, with an emphasis on early mobility and stroke certification standards.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS (AHA) certification required; California license; minimum of 2 years of experience; minimum of 40 hours per week working 10-hour shifts, with start date of 09/14/2026 and end date of 12/14/2026.
- Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; 8:30 AM 7:00 PM.
- Additional Responsibilities: Support for adult and geriatric inpatient populations, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary cases. OT hand therapy and pediatric therapy are components of the department. Flexibility for floating to other therapy services, including outpatient and home health, as needed.
- Submission Requirements: License to submit required; charting system utilized is Cerner.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke and early mobility programs preferred.
- Other Notes: Hospital is JCAHO certified for Stroke (NIH certified); Vent and pharmacy services available 24/7; inpatient adult and geriatric patients; outpatient pediatrics.
