Job Title: Staff Attorney (Part-Time) – Immediate Opportunity
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 4 Days per Week (Onsite)

We’re partnering with a leading elder justice organization in Bronx, NY, seeking a dedicated Staff Attorney to join its multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to provide direct legal services, advocate for vulnerable seniors, and contribute to important elder justice initiatives across New York City and Westchester County.Position Overview:

We are seeking a part-time, in-person Staff Attorney to provide direct legal services, advocate for shelter residents, and handle court appearances across NYC and Westchester County, including Family, Housing, and Supreme Court matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop legal strategies in collaboration with social workers and other professionals.
  • Provide direct legal services and advocacy to elder abuse survivors.
  • Represent clients in Family, Housing, and Supreme Court matters.
  • Coordinate and deliver training and community outreach.
  • Assist with grant writing and reporting.
  • Participate in policy and legislative work related to elder justice.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and law enforcement.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) and admission to practice in New York State required.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience in elder abuse, domestic violence, or victim advocacy preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
