Job Title: Drug Manufacturing Technician
Location: Des Plaines, IL 60018
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 12 Months with Possibility for Extensions
Pay Rate: $21.00–$23.00/hour (determined by experience, paid weekly)
Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
Work Model: Fully Onsite

Role Overview
BEPC is actively seeking a Drug Manufacturing Technician to support our client’s pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Des Plaines, IL. This entry-level position is responsible for supporting drug manufacturing processes, including weighing raw materials and active ingredients, blending materials, operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, and completing required batch documentation.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable following highly regulated manufacturing procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience within a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate drug manufacturing equipment according to established procedures and production requirements.
- Accurately weigh raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients used in manufacturing processes.
- Combine and process materials according to established blending procedures.
- Follow manufacturing procedures and work instructions exactly to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment in proper operating condition.
- Keep equipment, production areas, and facilities clean and in a state of good repair.
- Complete work orders and required manufacturing documentation.
- Accurately complete batch records in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Maintain accurate documentation with minimal errors or corrections.
- Complete required cGMP, safety, and job-specific training within established timelines.
- Follow applicable safety procedures and manufacturing requirements at all times.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
- Communicate production or equipment concerns to appropriate team members or supervisors.
- Support overall production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to accurately follow written procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when weighing materials and completing documentation.
- Ability to maintain accurate manufacturing and batch records.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness and ability to complete required cGMP and safety training.
- Dependable attendance and ability to consistently work the assigned overnight schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with cGMP manufacturing practices.
- Experience weighing, measuring, blending, or handling raw materials.
- Previous manufacturing equipment operation experience.
- Experience completing batch records, work orders, or regulated production documentation.
