Travel Possible Job Summary: The
Contractor Program Manager is responsible for the overall execution, performance, and compliance of the assigned government contract. This role ensures operational excellence across cost, schedule, safety, quality, and performance requirements in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), company policies, applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), and industry standards. The Program Manager provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and workforce management to ensure safe, mission-ready aircraft and compliant contract performance. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Contract & Operational Leadership * Ensure contract performance meets or exceeds cost, schedule, and performance objectives. * Oversee full compliance with the PWS, company policies, AFIs, and applicable technical directives. * Ensure delivery of safe, properly configured, reliable aircraft in support of mission requirements. * Maintain operational readiness through proper staffing, tooling, equipment, and technical data availability. * Implement continuous process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve efficiency. Compliance & Safety * Enforce adherence to technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and environmental regulations. * Ensure proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous materials. * Promote and sustain a culture of safety, quality compliance, accountability, and professionalism. Workforce Management * Supervise site personnel including attendance monitoring, timecard approval, and overtime assignments. * Apply company policies regarding hiring, promotion, discipline, training, and termination. * Ensure employees maintain required qualifications, certifications, and training. * Lead workforce planning to ensure sufficient manpower to meet contract requirements. Reporting & Government Interface * Maintain knowledge of Air Force supply procedures and efficiency reporting requirements. * Ensure accurate data reporting and performance tracking. * Serve as primary leadership interface for contract execution matters. * Additional Duties as Assigned * Will perform relevant additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: Education * Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field (or equivalent experience). Page 2 of 2 Experience * Minimum five (5) years of aviation program management experience. * Working knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance directives. * Experience interpreting and applying technical data and reporting requirements. * Knowledge of Air Force supply systems and efficiency reporting procedures. Credentials * Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance. * Valid U.S. Driver's License. Working Conditions: * Environment ranges from office to hangar and flight line and requires extensive sitting, climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. * Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties. Minimum physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. * Must be able and willing to meet OSHA, DCMA or additional industrial requirements including, hearing test, vision test to include color vision, respirator fit test and blood draw etc. to ensure workplace safety standard compliance. 6* May be subjected to no-notice drug testing surveillance per Company policy or Customer's direction to ensure a drug-free work environment.
