Manufacturing Technician II

Assemble electric engine products and subassemblies using manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment.

Build and integrate components including inverters, stators, gearboxes, motors, and related assemblies.

Follow detailed work instructions, technical specifications, and quality standards with a strong focus on workmanship.

Partner with engineering teams to support equipment bring-up, process validation, and production readiness activities.

Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, processes, and product issues to identify and resolve defects.

Debug and test electric engine assemblies.

Build and maintain basic laboratory fixtures, tooling, and support equipment.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

Conduct inspections and dimensional measurements using metrology equipment, including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, measurement microscopes, and other inspection tools.

Accurately document build activities, deviations, and production data.

Comply with all workplace safety procedures and standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and 5S practices.

Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience working in an R&D, prototype, or early-stage production setting.

Hands-on experience building mechanical and electronic assemblies using technical documentation.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Ability to follow formal work instructions and accurately document deviations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Experience using inspection and measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).

Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methodologies.

Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and compliance requirements.

IPC certification or working knowledge of IPC standards.

Experience assembling stator windings.

Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
