Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a CNC Operator - 2nd Shift for our Mount Carroll, Illinois manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate CNC equipment, inspect components for quality, make basic adjustments, and support safe, reliable production. This full-time hourly position pays $16-$19/hour, depending on experience, plus a $2/hour shift differential.

  • Location: Mount Carroll, IL

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

  • Pay: $16-$19/hour, depending on experience

  • Other Compensation: $2.00/hour shift differential

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

  • Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do as a CNC Operator
  • Operate CNC machines to produce components according to specifications.

  • Inspect completed parts to confirm they meet quality requirements.

  • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and use basic measuring instruments.

  • Complete required documents accurately and maintain production records.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.

  • Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to follow and interpret verbal and written work instructions.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Basic computer and mathematical skills.

  • Ability to use basic measuring instruments.

  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive assigned tasks to completion.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with team members and internal customers.

  • Demonstrated steady work history with minimal employment gaps.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous industrial manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is performed on-site in a manufacturing environment and involves regular work with CNC machinery and basic measuring instruments. Employees must follow applicable safety, environmental, and quality procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
