General Production Worker

Looking to start work right away? We're hiring General Production Workers for a growing industrial operation. No prior experience is required. If you're dependable, willing to work hard, and ready to learn, we provide training to help you succeed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix mud according to specified requirements, using a drill and other appropriate tools.
• Move, stack, and organize bricks on pallets using brick tongs to support ongoing production work.
• Clean and maintain the work area, including removing concrete spills, debris, and other obstructions to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
• Handle and move scaffolding and other construction materials as needed to support various projects and production tasks.
• Assist with loading, packaging, and general material handling duties to keep production lines supplied and operating smoothly.
• Operate basic equipment and tools as trained to support construction and industrial production activities.
• Perform additional manual labor tasks as assigned to maintain efficient operations and meet production goals.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in a heavy industrial environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and respond to changing production needs.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials throughout the shift.
• Capability to handle physically demanding work in various weather conditions and a heavy industrial setting.
• Willingness to work flexibly and transition between different shifts as production needs change.
• Strong attention to detail when mixing materials, handling bricks, and maintaining a clean work area.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Basic ability to use hand tools and equipment such as drills and brick tongs for mud mixing and brick handling.
• Comfort working around construction-related activities such as scaffolding, loading, packaging, and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a similar general labor, construction, or industrial production role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with forklift operation, loading, packaging, and material handling is a plus.
• Openness to work two of the three available shifts as production ramps up.
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, with a focus on teamwork and communication.

Work Environment

The role is based in a heavy industrial environment where conditions can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The facility can be dark and noisy, with ongoing construction and production activity. Work is performed on-site across multiple shifts, including 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., and may involve rotating or changing schedules as production ramps up. Employees regularly handle bricks, scaffolding, and other materials, and use equipment such as drills, brick tongs, and material handling tools while following all safety and protective gear requirements appropriate for a heavy industrial setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Hope, WV.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
