Material Handler

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Safely operate a pallet jack to move pallets throughout designated work area and perform related tasks to assigned area

• Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance on palletizing equipment

•Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.

•Perform safety inspections and audits as required

•Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures

•Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facility

•Follow standard work policies and procedures

•Work as a team with forklift drivers to ensure production flow and improve operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

•Experience working in a warehouse environment a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Ability to regularly lift, move, and place up to 50 pounds of inventory as needed. 

•Safety sensitive role, will be required to use a pallet jack on occasion. They will be surrounded by equipment and be in close proximity to robot forklifts, so situational awareness is key based on a heightened danger in their work environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

WORK HOURS:

•Full-Time- Expected Number of Hours Worked Per Week – 36, 48 alternating weeks; 12 hour shifts

ADDITIONAL:

•This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
