Product Chemistry Laboratory Associate | Indianapolis, IN
Join a GLP-regulated analytical laboratory supporting testing for active ingredients and formulated crop protection products. This role is ideal for candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field who are detail-oriented, committed to data integrity, and eager to grow in a fast-paced lab environment.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $22–23/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; 40 hours/week with optional overtime as needed
Contract: 1-year assignment, with possible extension or conversion
The Role: What You’ll Do
As a Product Chemistry Laboratory Associate, you’ll perform analytical testing, generate and interpret data, and support daily lab operations in a GLP-compliant environment.
- Analytical Testing: Conduct studies in compliance with GLP regulations, SOPs, and study protocols.
- Data Analysis: Generate, review, and interpret analytical data while ensuring quality and integrity.
- Troubleshooting: Support method and instrumentation troubleshooting to meet study objectives.
- Lab Maintenance: Maintain laboratory instrumentation and work areas to support daily operations.
- Collaboration: Work with laboratory teams and subject matter experts to execute studies and communicate results.
- Safety: Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
Training & Support
This position offers structured on-the-job training with support from experienced scientists and subject matter experts. You’ll build confidence through hands-on lab work, feedback, and collaboration in a team-focused environment.
Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who bring the following:
- Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (advanced degrees may be overqualified for this scope).
- Experience: In an analytical laboratory environment preferred; recent graduates with relevant academic lab experience are encouraged to apply. (HPLC, GC, IR, Karl Fisher titrations, etc)
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to data integrity, quality, and documentation.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing project needs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across diverse teams.
- Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to EHS requirements.
Core Skills
- Proficiency in GLP-regulated analytical testing and SOP adherence.
- Experience generating, reviewing, and interpreting analytical data.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting analytical methods and instrumentation.
