Pay Rate: $40 to $48 an hour
Shift Differentials Available:
$6/hr shift differential for hours worked between 5pm and 7am and all day on Saturdays and Sundays
AllHealth Network also provides a 10% compensation differential for individuals who are bilingual in English and Spanish (language proficiency testing required).

Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Crisis Center Registered Nurse (RN) provides immediate and comprehensive care for individuals experiencing psychiatric, behavioral health, substance use, and medical crises. This position serves as a key member of the Acute Care Campus team and is responsible for assessment, triage, crisis stabilization, admissions, medical screening, and coordination of care across multiple service lines.
The ideal candidate combines strong clinical judgment with exceptional therapeutic communication skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 crisis setting caring for individuals with both behavioral health and medical needs.
What You'll Do Assessment & Triage
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for individuals presenting in crisis.
- Review referrals and clinical information to determine admission appropriateness.
- Provide telephone and in-person triage for emergent and walk-in presentations.
- Complete nurse-to-nurse reports and ensure effective patient handoffs.
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, and response to treatment interventions.
- Provide therapeutic communication, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
- Assess and monitor suicide risk, aggression, withdrawal symptoms, and other psychiatric concerns.
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to determine appropriate treatment and placement.
- Deliver trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care for individuals with co-occurring conditions.
- Utilize standardized withdrawal assessment tools, including SEWS and COWS.
- Perform nursing assessments, health screenings, and medication reviews.
- Obtain laboratory specimens and complete point-of-care testing.
- Recognize and respond to acute medical emergencies.
- Coordinate medical clearance and communicate findings to the treatment team.
- Administer medications and provide ongoing clinical monitoring.
- Perform laboratory testing and point-of-care diagnostics following established protocols.
- Enter and verify laboratory orders and document results accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain quality control, calibration records, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Support accreditation readiness and adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Facilitate admissions across Acute Care Campus programs.
- Coordinate care transitions and support efficient patient flow throughout the campus.
- Monitor unit census and collaborate on optimal bed placement.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and community resources.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Strong assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage both psychiatric and medical presentations in an acute care environment.
- Excellent communication, crisis intervention, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, emergency, or crisis nursing.
- Experience working with patients experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.
- Experience performing laboratory draws, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
