Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in Computer Aided Drafting with a focus on mechanical drafting principles and applications
- Teach industry-standard CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar platforms) to students at varying skill levels
- Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and course materials aligned with industry standards
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments
- Provide hands-on guidance in technical drawing, geometric dimensioning and mechanical design concepts
- Mentor and advise students on career pathways in drafting, design, and engineering technology
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom and lab environment
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor and Revit or equivalent mechanical/Architectural drafting tools
- Professional experience in mechanical drafting, design, or engineering technology
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
- Teaching or training experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong understanding of mechanical drafting standards, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a student-centered approach
