Production Apprentice | Second Shift
HALCON Furniture, located in Stewartville, MN, manufactures award-winning, modern office furniture of the highest quality. To meet increased demand for our innovative products, we are currently seeking a Second Shift Production Apprentice to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will embrace the opportunity to contribute to their assigned Department and bring a positive attitude and strong organizational skills to a dedicated, fast-paced team.
Responsibilities:

• Perform various physical duties as assigned.
• Move, secure, install, build, load, and unloads materials.
• Perform some specialized tasks which may require on-the-job training. 
• Effectively use heavy and light equipment, depending on assigned task.
• Handle and move material from place to place.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Use power tools and machinery when needed
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner

Qualifications:
 

• Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
• Have good attention to detail, as well as having a positive attitude.
• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Good at working independently and as an active member of a team.
• Previous working experience in a manufacturing environment.

Salary Range:
The starting range for this position is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour (plus shift differential). Hours: 

Depending upon the position you were hired for, you will be working a general shift. You may be assigned to work other days and/or shifts, as needed, to meet the needs of the business. HALCON may establish, and/or modify work shifts, days, hours and periods, in order to meet operating needs and requirements of the business.  When your department schedules overtime, you are expected to work the same hours as the rest of the members of your department. HALCON considers this a “Condition of Employment.” Typical second shift production schedules is as follows:
 
2nd Shift, Monday – Thursday (3:30pm – 2:00am)
