Staffing Coordinator / Central Supply
Job Summary:
Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator (CNA) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility. As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring adequate staffing levels to provide exceptional care to our residents while overseeing the facility's supply inventory, ordering, receiving, and distribution process. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary range of $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for the nursing staff, including nurses and CNAs.
Maintain accurate records of schedules, time-off requests, and staffing-related metrics.
Monitor staffing levels to ensure compliance with patient-to-staff ratios and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with department heads and nursing supervisors to fill open shifts and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Post schedules daily and monitor daily PPD.
Respond promptly to last-minute call-offs, absences, or increased census demands by reallocating or recruiting staff as needed.
Ensure proper orientation scheduling for new hires in collaboration with education department.
Use staffing and scheduling software (e.g. shift key) to manage staffing operations efficiently.
Accept calls from the "scheduler" phone and potentially cover other shifts.
Supervise Central Supply operations and Transportation personnel.
Monitor inventory management, supply distrubution, and resident transportation services to ensure compliance with facility policies and quality standards.
Provide guidance, training, and performance for Central supply and Transportation staff.
Collaborate with HR to schedule modified-duty employees in accordance with policy.
Over the performance of daily responsibilities of Central supply and transporation personnel.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a long-term care facility.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
Computer knowledge required.
Certified Nursing License (CNA).
