Assembly

Pay: $17.75 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time
- Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Overtime as required

Penmac Staffing is hiring for Assembly positions with a manufacturing client. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, learning new skills, and contributing to the production of quality products in a fast-paced environment. Daily tasks may vary and provide opportunities to develop new skills while working as part of a team.

Requirements for the Assembly Position

Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, construction, or related experience is helpful but not required
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety procedures, and work instructions
Ability to safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and battery-powered tools
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to work safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Assembly Responsibilities

Assemble components according to production specifications and assembly sequences
Use drills, drivers, hand tools, and other production equipment safely and effectively
Complete production documentation accurately
Follow daily schedules and assignments while meeting quality and productivity standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Support team goals while maintaining accountability for assigned work
Follow all workplace safety procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements for the Assembly Position

Stand for the majority of a 10-hour shift
Frequently bend, squat, push, pull, and lift
Occasionally kneel, climb stairs, and reach above shoulder level
Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Work in various positions, including overhead work and confined work areas as needed

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Fast-paced production setting
PPE required, including safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves when applicable
Frequent overtime opportunities based on production needs
